I am a class (AA) PGA Professional after amassing enough CPD points to increase my status from class A. I turned professional in 1998 after playing amateur golf for several years. During that time I was selected to represent the counties of Lanarkshire and Somerset, which I am very proud of.
I specialise in, and am passionate about, junior golf development. This stems from my own junior golf experience. I personally did not receive any golf instruction as a junior and I often wonder whether I could have been a better player with some advice from a PGA professional.
You will not meet a more dedicated golf coach and a big believer in self development. My next career focus is obtaining a Masters of Philosophy degree in Sports Coaching from Birmingham University, which I am currently undertaking.
I enjoy meeting new people and I consider myself very friendly. So if you are considering taking some lessons I look forward to helping you improve.

Junior trophies |
The playing club is ideal for junior golfers who want to play on the golf course and who are aged 7-13yrs old. The start times of the clubs are Sundays 10:30-2pm and 1pm-4pm. I use “The Golf Foundation Passport Programme” to issue certificates at various stages of ability. In addition to the certificates, trophies and medals are up for grabs to junior golfers who turn up, perform and behave well in the skills and mini tournaments.
A typical session will commence with an explanation of a new skill to be learned e.g. how to hit a shot from an uphill lie followed by a demonstration and questions afterwards. They then go out and play 9 holes in competition conditions with some supervision help from myself and some parents. The juniors will then practice the skill and participate in a skills challenge for leader board points. After that the juniors will go to the golf course to experience different formats of play e.g. Texas scramble, Matchplay & Strokeplay. This will give the juniors valuable experience of competing and having fun while doing so. Results are posted on the leader board in my teaching bay with appropriate feedback and suggestions. Handicaps will be issued to the players once we have enough score cards for allocation. The club is primarily for juniors who have had previous experience of playing on a course or juniors who are progressing from range lessons. To juniors I do not personally know an assessment will be necessary before joining. The cost of the club is £90 every 8 weeks plus course membership of either £120/ year or £30/ 8 weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to experience play on the golf course for the first time. The club bridges the gap between a notice practicing on the range and having the ability to be able to join a members club. This is also a great way to meet like-minded young friends.

Adrian is a calm and patient coach who listens and makes you feel comfortable even if you continuously miss the ball as I used to! Due to his commitment, support, and high level of coaching skills I now feel confident in my ability, can hit the ball regularly and have taken a keen interest in the sport.
Colin Corrodus – Barclays Corporate Banking
Adrian passed the test a year and a half ago and became my pro. He revamped my swing, putting stroke and short game. Adrian was extremely patient and kept my spirits up by making me laugh when things went wrong. I have gained more confidence as I know my technique is now sound. Recently due to his help I won a long drive competition and I now hope to gain a single figure handicap.
